Video: Invincible’s Love from Detroit

Posted by Mike E on December 12, 2008

A Kasama reader wrote: “Detroit rapper Invincible played several WCW benefit shows. She’s overtly political–coming out swinging for Palestinians and gay rights, teaching about gentrification and the ravages of capitalism. She has done several tracks with D local Finale. We love her. She’s got a lot stacked against her in the world of hip hop–she is a relentlessly political queer woman, an activist through and through. She stays up on crazy talent. She has done several projects with Finale, as well as DAM, the political Palestinian hip hop group.”

Invincible feat. Finale — ‘Sledgehammer!’

‘Locusts’ — a ‘docu-music-video’ by Invincible and Finale about the gentrification and poverty in Detroit.
