Doesn't this echo how a certain war in the 60's began? Can we even trust that US forces aren't already involved in the ambiguously-phrased "direct combat"? No! Particularly in light of the admission: “But there’s a lot of fighting still to come.” Are we seeing the making of a new quagmire here, or at best a new phase in the incentivizing of terrorism? Call it what he will, Obama's War on Terror seems to be advancing.
