Job

by Kalash

The lord has taken my name in vain He giveth with one hand, the other taketh away Despite unwavering faith, unyielding praise It seems these qualities he could not reciprocate I'm told he works in the most mysterious ways What better way to hide away and escape from the blame In your holy role as devil's advocate I believed to be forsaken and deceived Mere fodder for the canon

I break the bodies, I bottle the blood, I've given my life to belief Embraced to be forsaken, emptied to fulfill these legacies of belief

Give us this day our daily dosage Kill it away our holy opiate

Dig in.
