Thanks for posting this, Mike. My mother thought that all Arabs should be shot. (Back in those days the word "Palestinian" wasn't even part of daily vocabulary here in the United States.) She said that to me many times before her death in 1978.

My father and his parents were forced to leave Germany to escape the holocaust in 1939. They tried to enter the United States, but weren't permitted to do so because of the prevalent anti-Semitism in the US at that time. They then lived in Cuba for three years before gaining permission to enter the United States.

My personal interest in Cuba derives from that family history.

I know people who were at this. The event looks like it was amazing (it was two years before I arrived in town). What was awful, if typical, was the Zionist group Israel on Campus used this to try and discredit the great organization that I am with at UW, Students for Palestinian Rights. It has had a lasting impact on our organization, all the way up to last year, when we tried to bring Finkelstein back to campus and to hold the event off campus.

However, I am still proud that we were able to put this on.

Hi again and good to see you Rowland.

Sorry they disturbed your relations with GOPS and so forth. We had a Hillel i think that's what it was called too.

Within them also, there was a single progressive Jewish folk who talked about people of Israel not liking the regime....

Anyhow, seeing the good people, despite their media washing their heads against Moslems etc., they have wonderful people too but, with the degree of financial help of the US to that regime, it seems - and i don't want to talk like Spartacist league but, it seems only the people of Israel can reach their hands to people of Palestine and, regardless of what's on the surface election, very, very kind people i have seen on both sides (including Jewish woman making haven cultural for Palestine people, this guy residing in LA who revealed lots of NUKE secrets and, there has been American people standing alone in front of a tractor, doing other things but, at most out here we could demand less financial aids to help that bad regime.

And people of Israel, please open your hearts and, when you take better policy demand kindness from other side too. Demand true secular state and, whatever Nazis, others have done wrong, don't play it back on others. What are your ten commandments anyway? You should not kill sister/brothers. What good killing Robin did except making war worse? He wasn't a saint in his earlier years but, killer was certainly the sinner...
