PermalinkEveryone should repost this immediately on their facebook page and elsewhere. show a little bolshevism and make this protest list go viral and grow. Whether or not you like FRSO particular line is NOT the issue.
An injury to one is an injury to all.
And this may just be the government's opening gambit in a massive wave of witch-hunts and repression--the dropping of the "other shoe" in the so-called "war against terrorism", the domestic version in which they try to brand various groups in the U.S. "terrorists" or "terrorist sympathizers," and ban organizations or material aid to domestic groups so branded.
The fact that one of the search warrant affidavits called for seizure of evidence concerning recruitment to FRSO indicates where this may be going. If they can brand an organization this way, under the USA-Patriot Act, they can seize all assets and shut down groups based on suspicion, without proof ofany criminal activity.
They did this years ago with a number of Muslim charities, and the organized left in the U.S. responded in a woefully inadequate manner, despite some very creative suggestions at the time made by brother Clark Kissinger which were unfortunately not picked up on in any major way.
That can't happen again!0 Like -

PermalinkThis has also been going on in the animal rights movement since 2003-2004, with terrorism enhancements and the Patriot Act-like AETA, in conjunction with Grand Juries, paid informants, spying, infiltration, etc.
As contrarian said, support is needed regardless of agreement with particular "lines". SHAC was targeted because they were both radical AND effective.0 Like -

I agree completely. The ideological differences are not at issue, but rather FBI intimidation of the movement.
